Conflict Minerals
City Plating and Metal Finishing takes seriously the worldwide concerns for violence and human rights. We fully support the effort to prevent human rights abuses particularly in the mining of certain minerals; gold, tantalum, tin and tungsten (3TG), from the Democratic Republic of the Congo and surrounding countries.
City Plating and Metal Finishing is committed to the policy of sourcing conflict-free minerals and to prevent the use of these materials in any products or services. This policy includes:
-
We require all our 3TG suppliers to conduct the necessary due diligence and provide verification of the country or origin and source of the materials supplied to us.
-
We support efforts to verify smelters and refiners that are conflict-free and expect our suppliers to utilize conflict-free programs that are available.
-
In cases where it is found that a supplier is not in compliance with our requirements regarding 3TG, we will take corrective action measures to remedy non-compliance. If the non-compliance cannot be resolved, we reserve the right to terminate the relationship with the supplier.
-
We perform risk assessments of our suppliers of materials that contain conflict minerals and provide disclosure through the Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI) when requested.
City Plating and Metal Finishing can confirm at this time that there is no indication that any of our products that we manufacture or that the services that we provide contain conflict minerals.
